Sven Linow is a professor of thermodynamics and environmental engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da) and a member of Scientists for Future, an interdisciplinary network of researchers involved in the climate debate. Scientists for Future is organised on a decentralised basis; the Darmstadt group comprises seven lecturers from h_da across various departments. Together with colleagues from across Hesse, they published a statement in January on the state government’s climate protection plan. Their criticism is that the Black-Green coalition is shying away from concrete, effective measures.
